Get Fit And Get Pregnant

 

Contrary to the title this isn’t a guide on getting pregnant. It is however a guide on getting fit and combating obesity.

Obesity and infertility walk hand-in-hand and it is not uncommon for overweight women to find it difficult falling pregnant.

Obesity has been known to be the cause of your blood lipids changing which creates heightened inflammation that is overall bad for your system.

A study found that overall it will change the environment of the ovary and women were found to have more active metabolic and androgen levels. This can often lead to poorer reproductive systems. It was also discovered that overweight women had extremely high levels of fat and inflammation in the fluids surrounding their eggs. This in turn is harmful to embryo formation in general.

So what can be done?

Well first step is to get yourself to the gym. Yes, the gym is a monster that eats away at your precious time, but if you are considering having children in the near future, you might as well start now.

Do not forget to get your partner or significant other involved in your daily activities to get fit. After all, it is a two way street and a healthy mind and body will develop healthy children.

Even if you do not have the time to work out at the gym, then consider walking for half an hour each day to get your heart pumping and your blood working properly. After exercise you will feel more relaxed and generally your mind will thank you for it even if your muscles don’t!

Consider taking up yoga or a hobby that will relax your mind as well. Essentially if you are happier in the long run, you are much more likely to fall pregnant and have the children you have always dreamed about.
