People that have high blood pressure, cholesterol, being overweight and high blood glucose are at an increased risk of getting type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
It has been proven by the American Diabetes Association that by exercising 30 minutes a day and reducing your body weight by 10-15% that the risk of getting diabetes go down by 58%. That is a significant number and something to keep in mind for future.
So start making healthy food choices. Find a calorie controlled diet and get your weight down. Start with 15 minute walk and eventually increase it to 30 minutes or longer and you will be well on your way to leading a happy and healthy life.
